3 Hours Before Flight Time
You will be met at the airport at Kotoka International Airport in Ghana and transferred to your hotel. Depending on your time of arrival at the hotel, we will provide you with a brief introduction to your upcoming stay.

After waking up in Ghana for the first time and after breakfast, you will meet with your local representative for a free introduction and discussions on what to expect. Today you set off to explore Accra’s old town on a 3-hour walking tour.
Must see: Fort Ussher in Accra to learn more about the history of slavery in Accra. Nearby you will find James Town, where you can watch local fishermen hauling their catch of the day and / or repairing their fishing net, a special time with the locals.
Then you will join the Makola market to immerse yourself in multiple colors and scents.
Then we will leave to join our next stage Amdezofe. On our way we will make a stop to discover the makers of “eccentric coffin” in Teshie, a real local curiosity.

From your lodge located at the top of the mountain, you will set off on foot, accompanied by your guide for a hike through the lush forest in the mountain to Mont Gémi.
From the top of Mont Gémi, you will have a magnificent panorama over the valley overlooking towns and villages. On a sunny day, you might even see Lake Volta.
You continue walking until you reach the Cascade d’Ote, before reaching the hotel (duration of the hike – 2 to 3 hours).
The afternoon will be free to enjoy this magical place. Relaxation, meeting… as you wish.
In the early evening after dinner, your driver will take you to a traditional Tafi Atome village for a cultural evening around a cozy fire. A 2-3 hour show with percussion and traditional dances with the people of the village. You can of course participate by trying your hand at drumming and / or dancing.
Return at the end of the evening to your hotel.

You will go by bike on a dirt road leading to Tafi Atome Village. Arrived, you will walk through wooded forests (an hour and a half on the trail of Tafi Atome Monkey Sanctuary).
This sanctuary is home to monkeys that have been protected for decades because they are considered sacred. Take the opportunity to learn more about the history and local beliefs. These monkeys are used to humans and will roam freely around you (be careful, they can also jump on you!).
Then you will take the bike for a total distance of 14 km from Tafi Abuipe to visit a traditional Kente factory (a traditional loincloth). The yarns used to weave the Kente are made of various bright colors and the workmanship particularly meticulous.
After that you will cycle back to your lodge. Most likely you will meet palm wine harvesters along the way and have the opportunity to taste and smell the local beer freshly brewed from the palm trees. It’s a great time to share with the people who regularly come to drink their palm wine.

If your stay coincides with the weekend, you might have the chance to catch a local football match before you leave Amedzofe for Wli.
The driver accompanies you to your next hotel in Wli.
After your installation you leave the Wli Visitors Center on the Wli Waterfall. Allow 45 min. walk through the wildlife sanctuary to the base of the falls.
Then you will take walkways in a deciduous forest that will lead you to the base of the pool. The perfect time to take a dip in the pool and take a refreshing dip in the clear, cold waters.
Hanging on the steep cliff you can see many straw-colored bats perching. The Agumatsa reserve was created precisely to protect these bats.
Return to the village of Wli, to discover the commercial activities of one of the many border posts between Ghana and Togo.
Then return to your hotel. The rest of the day will be free until dinner time where you will attend a performance of local music and traditional dancing.

Start of the day with a walk to the surrounding hills of the village of Wli. Then it will be the start of your trek to Ghana’s highest mountain, Mt Afadjato. From Gbledi, it will take around 1 to 2 hours. round trip. From the top of this mountain, you will enjoy a breathtaking view.
East of the mountain you will reach the Tagbo waterfall. Along the way you can observe the local farmers who cultivate cocoa and coffee, two of the main pillars of Ghana’s economy. But also you will come across other crops such as papaya, pineapples … etc. .
It will then be time to say goodbye to the Volta region and Ghana to reach the Togo border by car.
After customs formalities (assisted by your driver and guide), we will continue the road to Kpalimé in Togo

After breakfast, we start with a hike to Mont Agou, the highest peak in Togo.
Then we will visit the typical villages perched on the side of Mont Agou and a guided walk in the undergrowth passing through the fields of cocoa and coffee.
You can explore with your bush guide. The richness of the tropical forest, plants and their pharmaceutical benefits, brightly colored butterflies and insects in their natural habitat …
At noon, we make a transfer by car to the Womé waterfall. We will picnic on this fantastic place in an idyllic setting (possibility of swimming).
Return to the hotel in the late afternoon. You are free until lunch, you can go and visit, for example, Agomé Yoh, a village of craftsmen a 10-minute walk away.

After breakfast, we will go to the village of Sokodé, in central Togo.
A stop at Atakpamé, the city of a thousand hills.
Lunch and continuation of the journey to Sokodé where you will settle in at the hotel before taking a little rest in the afternoon.
In the evening, we will attend a traditional fire and knife dance performance. During the knife dance, men shear their bodies with sabers, knives, razor blades and wash their face with pieces of glass. For the fire dance, the men in traditional costumes dance on hot embers… Sensations guaranteed!

After breakfast, we leave for Kanté. A stop at the handicraft center for the disabled CODHANI is also planned.
We take our picnic and visit the batik workshops and many other handicrafts.
We continue the road to Koutammakou to visit Tatas, large traditional castles of Batammariba about 17 km from Kanté.
This site is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
At the end of the day, we will go to Tiyita where we spend the night in a village inn built with local materials.

We will continue our journey by reaching the village of Kara.
Along the way we stop at Tcharé, a village nestled in a pretty valley of Mont Kabyé. This village is renowned for its potters who use truly ancestral methods as well as its traditional blacksmiths who work iron with a stone oven open on both.
The next stop is planned in Sarakawa to see Zebras, antelopes, wildebeest, buffaloes, beautiful birds, ostriches and many other species.
Then we will continue the journey to Kara.

After breakfast, we continue our stay towards the coasts of the country by joining Lomé.
Short stop at Atakpamé for lunch in a restaurant before continuing the trip to the capital of Togo. We continue the journey to Lomé. We settle in and rest at the hotel. Rest of the day free.

This day is devoted to the visit of Lomé.
We will start first at the National Museum before heading to a traditional craft village.
Then we will immerse ourselves in the large market of Lomé called “Marché des Nanas-Benz”.
For the rest of the day you will be accompanied by your guide and will improvise with him the visits that might interest you or do your last runs before departure.

After breakfast, we say goodbye to Togo to reach the Togo / Ghana border. You will be assisted in customs formalities and then after crossing the border you will be escorted to the airport, Kotoka International Airport in Accra for your return flight.
