Visits to Ghana: Join us for a 5-day safari adventure in Ghana. Highlights of this tour include; A trip to the capital of the Volta region, Ho, a stop at the Shai Hills Hunting Reserves, the Akosombo Dam, the Wli Waterfall, a hike in the Agumatsa Forest Reserve, Mole National Park and many others.

3 Hours Before Flight Time
We leave early for an incredible trip to Ho. We stop at Shai Hills Game Reserve. Continue to Akosombo for an exciting journey to the cradle of Ghana’s first energy source, the Akosombo Dam.
Continue through the Adomic Bridge to Ho. Stop at the points of interest of Tafi Atome, the house of the playful monkeys Mona and Patas that is found mainly in a small patch of forest. This small forest has survived fires and human disturbances to thrive as a sanctuary for monkeys that are considered sacred by villagers and are protected. Arrival in Ho early evening.

After breakfast we leave the hotel. Our first stop will be in Wli. Stroll through the greenery of the Agumatsa Forest Reserve crossing the same river before reaching the breathtaking waterfalls of Wli, Ghana’s tallest waterfall. Take a cold dip in the waterfall.
We continue to Nkwanta after lunch. Arrive at your hotel in the evening.

After breakfast, we leave for Mole National Park. On the way, visit the village of Shari, pass in front of the Kyabobo National Park which is at the foot of Mount Djbobo on the border with Togo until the village of Shari of the group of people not reached Akyode which is cut off from the rest of civilization. Almost all villagers are African traditionalists and rely on fetishists for “power”.
Back after your interaction with the villagers, we continue the Mole National Park with a short stop in Tamale. Pass many Dagomba villages, stopping at the points of interest in Mole National Park.

Enjoy an early morning safari before breakfast in trekking. After refreshment and breakfast, depart for Kumasi. Stop at the Kintampo Waterfall, one of the highest waterfalls in Bono, east of Ghana. Also known as Sanders Falls in colonial times, it is located on the Pumpum River, a tributary of the Black Volta.
Our final stop will be at the Buabeng-Fiema Monkey Sanctuary. The Buabeng-Fiema Monkey Sanctuary is Ghana’s most famous example of traditional African conservation. The sanctuary is nestled between the two villages of Buabeng and Fiema; the sanctuary houses more than 200 Geoffrey’s Pied Columbus and 500 Campbell’s Mona Monkeys. For more than 150 years, the inhabitants of Boabeng and Fiema have considered monkeys sacred. Traditional beliefs in both communities prohibit physical injury to monkeys. Arrive in Kumasi in the evening.

Morning relaxation. We check, head to the Manhyia Palace for a guided tour. In the early afternoon we leave for Accra.

We could enjoy being able to customize our stay by doing what we were interested in on two typical circuits that were offered. This allowed us to see the bulk of the country according to our interests.
We were accompanied by a driver and our guide throughout our two tours. Very friendly and helpful people.
